Week 2 Home ~ Dec. 15 - 21
Monday, December 16
Woke up bright and early to take all three dogs to the vet for check ups. Cory had to come with me because I can do Buddy, or Moqui & Kona but not all 3 together. The two little ones just shake the whole way there, they know if they are in the car early it either means vet or groomers...both equally traumatic! Buddy does great until they start to feel around him, so to be safe we muzzle him. He is good to let them put it on.
I spent the afternoon at Foothills in Haley and Lindsey's class doing Shrinky Dinks and wassail! I love spending time with them and their classes. Most of the kids have never had wassail, so they are hesitant to try it but 95% love it! They also ask for the recipe!
While I was at the school, the pupper's hung out at my moms because I had to take them to the groomer later that afternoon. Moqui and her obsession with balls is hilarious! She had two options and just sat there staring at them.
Tuesday, December 17
Started the morning out with a walk...best way to start the day! My friend stopped by, who recently lost her son, and we spent hours talking, laughing and crying. Life is not fair.
Katie, Kelly and I signed up for a glass making class at Holdman Studio's at Thanksgiving Point & my mom came to watch. It was awesome! The lobby of the studio is full of glass art. There is a trench in the floor filled with different works of art and then glass on top of it! So fun!
We were making paper weights so we were able to choose two colors of the many options. The lady gave us instructions and then helped us as we did it!
All the colors we could choose from.
After we went to Slab Pizza for dinner! As always we got different pizzas and shared. Kelly got the Rosemary Potato and Bacon (Olive oil, potato, bacon, green onion, feta rosemary), I got the Meikel (peanut sauce, pineapple, green onion, roasted red pepper, cilantro)
My mom got the White (fresh ricotta, parmesan, herbs, sausage, mushroom) and Katie got the Rocket Cheese (Red sauce, parmesan, feta, arugula, lemon vinaigrette)
Wednesday, December 18
Started out the morning with a walk then went with Katie to help get Lyndsey's house clean for her home visit to see if she can come home. First things, first...I did the girls hair! Katie has been doing it for the past 3 weeks and all she can do is a pony tail so they were excited to have something different!
.I met Yolanda for lunch at Zao and love, love, love their kids meal. It is so much food and it's only 7$. I got the chicken taco, noodles and a drink!
Then we went and saw wicked. It has been YEARS since I have been to a movie in the middle of the day, and there was only us and one other group of 3 in the theater!
Finished out the evening going to Joe Banditos with Mark and Lori from the ward! It was fun getting to know them better!
Thursday, December 19th
Drove to Lehi with my mom to pick up glass paper weights.

Because Kaylee and Aaron were going to Randolph to celebrate Christmas with his family, we celebrated tonight. I asked everyone what they wanted and they decided on Olive Garden take out...easy enough! Then we did gifts and stockings. We usually play games on Christmas night so my nephew, sister and mom came over and we played a game. Then Kaylee did my nails! Kaylee was kind enough to leave Santa a "cookie" and milk.
Friday, December 20
We headed to Kanab today, Parker invited us down to his house. We spent the morning packing then took off. The puppies love a road trip!
Parkers house is amazing! It has pickleball courts, swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit, and plenty of bedrooms!
Moqui was in heaven...she loves walking on curbs!
We went back to the house and made nachos for dinner, played Hitsters, then went in the hot tub!
Saturday, December 21
We woke up and enjoyed the sunny view out the window before having breakfast. We forgot to pack Moqui's egg and turns out, she is just as annoying without it as she is with it. The kids went to the dollar store in town Friday night and they found this little Minnie Mouse that was suitable for the night.
We took off for St. George, and more red rocks! The hotel we stayed in was more like an apartment!
We took a little nap, then went to an early dinner at George on the Corner! I got a salad with pears, candied pecans and vinaigrette, and garlic bread with goat cheese and honey...AMAZING! Cory got a corn dog and fried!!
We then took the dogs for a walk under Dixie walk with a beautiful view of St. George.
We decided to splurge and go to Pink Box Donuts for dessert! So many choices!
