Life in Lubumbashi

It was an eventful day commuting the streets! On the way to work, we passed a car that had ran through a fence...Cory wanted to yell out the window "Hey, you can't park there!"

On the way home, as we were turning down our street, some guys were moving a shed on a cart! They will find any way to get things where they need to be!

On our street, people are trying to fill in the pot holes with broken tiles and rocks...I think it's beautiful & resourceful!

Common site, people riding on top of the load of trucks. This one is full of charcoal which they use to cook with.

Just a reminder of what I sweep up when I clean...yuck! Most of these were hiding under the couches and curtains when I moved them to clean!

For the second time, the power pole outside our compound started on fire.  We just sit and watch the fireworks and wait for it to burn out. There is no one to call, no fireman or electrical company.

Some one was super excited to see Cory back! We love Basil Rain!!
