Friday's Adventures
Friday, Amelia and Serge came and picked me up from the office to run some errands with them. As we were backing out, I had to snap a picture of the two ways they were trying to "warn" people there is a huge hole in the middle of the road. They put a piece of wood in this one and a tire in the one just down the street! They have done the tire before, but this was a first with the wood. Heaven for bid they actually fix them.
Our first stop was the Distribution Center. It is a small room inside the Stake Center, and they have scriptures, pictures, books, garments, and music books. They also have a few keyboards and that was our reason for going there, to get one for Laurene.
Then we stopped by this little shop on the side of the road. It was full of all sorts of treasures. I ended up getting a mortar and pestle and a bowl.
We stopped at Top Mart (Amelia's first time) and she loved it. Top Mart is a grocery store here that has some fun, different things. This is where I got the kids birthday presents. Then we headed home and passed another little shack/store on the side of the street that was selling slip on sandals (I forgot mine at home) so we stopped and bought me a pair of Adidas slip-ons for $8 dollars! I was going to buy the "Gucci" ones but they wanted $15 dollars for them....just kidding, they didn't have them in my size.
That afternoon, our little buddy Ella, came over. Her favorite thing to do lately is help Cory take his shoes off. The other morning, he was putting on his boots and he said "If only Ella could help me do this part!" She loves to play with my hair and she put a flower in it today... she is such a cutie!
