Friday Afternoon

 As we were leaving work, we got a message saying the police were doing stops again, checking cars that they have the correct papers.  When they do this, they put spike strips out in the road to stop cars. They traffic becomes even more insane than it already is. 

When I got home, Amelia was getting ready to go to the store to buy some hair so Laurene can make herself a cap by weaving it into a hair cap.  It's actually quite fascinating to watch! She is so talented. I asked if I could tag along and we make a stop at the store to pick up some stuff for our Thanksgiving dinner I am hosting on Saturday.  I took some pictures of the the area we went first.  

The roads are dirt and very bumpy.  This guy was making a carrier for his motorcycle to carry the blue pipe in.  Here is a pharmacy.

           

The red building is where we go to refill our internet sim cards.  $50 lasts us about 2 weeks, if we are lucky! The store Amelia and Laurene went to was behind the white building.  

           

On our way home we passed this mechanic store.  The way they lift the cars is by building lifts out of cinder block and dirt.

On our way home, Amelia had our driver stop and she bought some street corn.  It was ok, it was overcooked and dry but still a fun snack!

Later that afternoon, when Cory got home, Ella wanted to show us her new hairdo!  Pugsly, the compound dog, came for a visit and jumped up on Cory's lap!  He's a fat dog and Cory joked his legs were hyper extended.

                 

Ella was on one and wanted to show us how she can ride her skate board.  She is so stinking cute!
