First Sunday Here
We went to church today! Cory drove there on his own, because the streets aren't busy on a Sunday morning and the police aren't out that early on a Sunday! ~ Side note, the streets here have cops they will try and stop your car, just right in the middle of traffic, and demand money. They have told us to just wave and drive on by. If they throw out spikes, stop and roll your window down just 2 inches. They will ask for money and you can offer them 1000 Congolese francs which is equivalent to less than $0.50, but we want to try and avoid that because then they will target our car always.
The steering wheel is on the right side of the car but we don't drive on the left side of the road, we drive on the right side!
We sang all the hymns in French
Probably one of the only times Cory has been with me doing a puzzle from start to finish. The internet was down so he had no option!
Our sweet neighbor, Natalie, gave us the Mapleton Puzzle and it was fun doing it and recognizing places! It made me a little homesick, for blue skies and fresh air!
When I lived in Korea there was one day when I felt especially homesick for Utah and couldn't figure out what kept making me think of it. Then I realized it was because it was one of the first and only days when the normal pollution was gone and the skies were big and blue. ❤️
