Kafubu River Lodge
Kayla and Scotty invited us to go to Kafubu River Lodge for the weekend. It was so nice to get away from the city and smoke! It was beautiful! We left early Friday morning to drive 102 kilometers (64 miles) and it took us 3 hours to get there! The traffic wasn't bad but the roads are awful! Plus, Cory had just filled up his truck and there must have been water in the fuel because we had to stop every 30 minutes to pump the water out of the fuel filter. On the drive out, we would pass these massive mounds with trees and plants growing out of them. They are termite mounds and they are everywhere! We also passed this beautiful church that was pretty central to all of the villages. When we got there, the villas weren't quite ready so we walked around and explored a little bit.
